The Ajax – Vitesse match has been rescheduled from Saturday 29 October to Wednesday 9 November. This at the request of the team from Amsterdam so that they can prepare well for the last group stage match in the Champions League, against Rangers FC.
Ajax will take it on Tuesday 1 November at Rangers FC in Glasgow, Scotland, in the Champions League. The team from Amsterdam is not in good shape after the defeats against Liverpool (2-1) and Napoli (1-6) and will therefore do everything they can to be able to spend the winter in Europe.
By opposing the match against Vitesse, the team from Amsterdam will not play an Eredivisie match between the last two matches in the group stage of the Champions League. Prior to Rangers, Ajax will take on Liverpool on October 26.
No delay AZ
Eredivisie matches can be moved within a round if Dutch participants in European tournaments indicate that they are better able to recover from matches played or are better prepared for upcoming matches. Feyenoord – Cambuur Leeuwarden was previously moved on request and AZ and PSV indicated that they did not want a postponement.
