Ajax has strengthened itself with Georges Mikautadze. The striker comes over from the French FC Metz about the arrival of Georges Mikautadze. The team from Amsterdam pays about 16 million euros for the attacker and that amount can rise to more than 19 million euros due to bonuses.
Georges Mikautadze has signed a contract in Amsterdam until June 30, 2028. As a great talent, the French-born Georgian went through part of the youth academy of FC Metz and has played for the first team of the French club since 2019.
Especially last season, the 22-year-old attacker made himself heard. With 23 goals, he played an important role in Metz’s promotion last season. In this early season, Mikautadze scored twice in three matches at the highest French level. For the national team of Georgia, he managed to find the net four times in sixteen international matches.

FC Metz also rented out the Georgian international to RFC Seraing for two seasons. Makautadze also scored regularly at the Belgian club. A total of 26 goals in 57 official matches.
Ajax has already strengthened itself this transfer summer with Branco van den Boomen, Benjamin Tahirovic, Diant Ramaj, Carlos Forbs, Jakov Medic, Anton Gaaei, Josip Sutalo, Chuba Akpom and Gaston Ávila.
