In the play-offs in the Europa League, Ajax won 4-1 against Ludogorets. In Bulgaria, the Ajax goals were scored by Kudus (3x) and Brobbey. The return is in Amsterdam next Thursday.
Perhaps in his last match for Ajax, it was Mohammed Kudus who opened the score after fifteen minutes of football. He shot in with a diagonal shot on the edge of the box. Two minutes later it was Kudus again who shot in from close range after a nice attack from Amsterdam. Just before the break, Brian Brobbey headed in and Ajax was sitting on roses.
Hat trick
Thanks to a beautiful save by Jay Gorter, the Bulgarians did not come back into the game. A few minutes later it was Kudus with his third goal of the evening. After a handball from Jorrel Hato, Ludogorets received a penalty. Olivier Verdon managed to take advantage of that golden opportunity.
In the last twenty minutes little happened and there was not much movement in the game. There were no real great opportunities. And so Ajax booked a big 4-1 victory over Ludogorets and it is almost certain to play the Europa League this season.
Setup Ajax: Gorter, Rensch, Medic, Hato, Wijndal (Salah-Edinne 79); Tahirović, Berghuis (Klaassen/72, Taylor (Van den Boomen/72); Kudus (Godts/90), Brobbey (Forbs/46), Bergwijn.
