After the FC Twente – Ajax match, another incident occurred at the team bus of the Amsterdam club. Striker Brian Brobbey was racially abused by a spectator behind the crowd barriers when entering the bus, De Telegraaf reports.
The perpetrator was arrested immediately after the incident and received a stadium ban. FC Twente technical director Arnold Bruggink apologized for the incident in the Ajax player bus.
Second time
It is the second time this year that an incident has taken place after the FC Twente – Ajax match. After the previous match, insults were also leveled at the Ajax players, followed by Steven Berghuis struck a blow. Berghuis is said to have hit after a racist comment towards Brian Brobbey. Brobbey was then allegedly called a “cancer black”.
The Ajax midfielder received a three-match suspension for this. Berghuis later apologized publicly.
