Ajax defender Jorge Sánchez leaves for FC Porto on a rental basis. The 25-year-old Mexican international is rented out to the Portuguese club for one season.
Porto has also included an option to buy in the contract. It is reportedly set at 4 million euros. Sánchez still has a contract until mid-2026 in Amsterdam.
With the rental deal, the difficult cooperation between the right back and Ajax will come to an end for the time being. Sánchez was rarely able to convince in Amsterdam and eventually came to 26 games, including 18 base places. Ajax recently caught up in person from Anton Gaaei already a replacement for Sanchez.
