Kenneth Taylor and Remko Pasveer have been called up to the Dutch national team for the first time by national coach Louis van Gaal. The Ajax players were already in the pre-selection and are now definitively with the Orange squad. Joey Veerman and Brian Brobbey have not been called up for the upcoming international match.
Ajax is purveyor to the court with 8 players. Only Brian Brobbey has dropped out for the upcoming duels. He is also included in the selection of the Dutch Juniors. They will play two friendlies against Belgium (September 23) and Romania (September 27)
PSV player Joey Veerman is also not in the selection of the Dutch national team. AZ midfielder Jordy Clasie did not make the selection. Defender Bruno Martins Indi is the only AZ player to be included in Van Gaal’s judging corps.
The Orange squad will play two international matches in the Nations League on September 22 and 25. The team first plays against Poland and three days later the game against Belgium follows at home.
At the top
After the first four matches in the group, the Dutch national team is first. At the end of last season, the Orange squad first played against Belgium (4-1 win), Wales (2-1 win), Poland (2-2) and Wales (3-2 win). The group winner eventually qualifies for the final round, which will be held in June 2023. In 2019, the Netherlands was still a losing finalist in the Nations League against Portugal.
