Mohamed Ihattaren seems to have rejoined Ajax. The 20-year-old midfielder has been absent for unclear reasons in recent weeks. The footballer now announces that he is back via Instagram.
Ihattaren had a promising start to the preparation this summer. The playmaker finally seemed fit and already showed a few glimpses of his talent in the first practice matches. When the rest of the squad left for Austria for a training camp, Ihattaren stayed behind in the Netherlands. Since then, he has not been seen in the selection of trainer Alfred Schreuder.
Unclear
The reason for his absence is still unclear. According to Ajax he was not fit enough to travel with, according to the Telegraaf it had to do with harassment and threats from the criminal environment. The latter is denied by Ihattaren himself.
Now Ihattaren announces that he has reported to the Ajax training complex again. “Back in business,” he writes on Instagram.
