PSV has to settle with NAC Breda for a ticket in the last four. Just like Ajax, Roger Schmidt’s formation also plays a home match. The other two semifinals are RKC Waalwijk-AZ and NEC-Go Ahead Eagles. The four matches in the quarterfinals are scheduled for February 8, 9 and 10. It is not yet known when which game will be played.
After the draw, it was also determined which teams will play a home game in the semi-finals. The KNVB does this so that mayors can prepare themselves organisationally. The winner of RKC Waalwijk against AZ will play at home in the semi-finals and the winner of NEC against Go Ahead Eagles will too. In the next draw (after the quarter-finals) it will become clear whether the winner of RKC – AZ will be linked to the winner of Ajax – Vitesse or to the winner of PSV – NAC Breda. The same applies to NEC and Go Ahead.
