We both seem to define “middle-aged” differently somehow. Overpaid here and there – maybe. Always difficult to judge from the outside. However, I would see it differently that the money was thrown away. There’s a lot of potential there again. If the players develop as hoped, a juicy transfer fee is possible for almost everyone.
Lucca is of course a bit out of line. But I find a very interesting solution. If that works, everyone celebrates Ajax again. If it doesn’t work out, the loan won’t break anything.
