Ajax has broken open the contract of Kenneth Taylor and extended it until the summer of 2027. The midfielder was initially fixed in Amsterdam until mid-2024. In the team of trainer Alfred Schreuder he must become the successor of the departed Ryan Gravenberch.
When signing his new contract, Taylor also immediately got a new jersey number. He will play at Ajax with number 8, the old number of Ryan Gravenberch. The talented midfielder exchanged Ajax for Bayern Munich last summer.
Taylor was born in Alkmaar and has been playing at Ajax since 2010. On December 12, 2020, he made his debut in Ajax’s first in the home match against PEC Zwolle (4-0). So far he played 22 matches for Ajax in which he scored twice.
Earlier this transfer period, Ajax already strengthened itself with Steven Bergwijn and Owen Wijndal. On the other hand, it saw Andre Onana, Brian Brobbey, Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch leave Amsterdam.
Ajax will practice against KAS Eupen this afternoon at 3.30 pm at De Toekomst. That match takes place behind closed doors.
