Ajax coach Erik ten Hag, along with Mauricio Pochettino, is the main candidate to start at Manchester United. Various British media report that the English Premier League club has started the search for a new coach this week.
Interim Pope Ralf Rangnick is on the bench at Manchester United until the end of the season. He succeeded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was fired in November. The German will play an advisory role in the summer at The Red Devils.
Ten Hag vs. pochettino
Pochettino is now the coach of Paris Saint Germain. The Argentinian was previously active in the Premier League where he coached Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur. In 2019 he reached the Champions League final with Tottenham at the expense of Ajax.
Ten Hag has been active in Amsterdam since 2018. He is extremely successful at Ajax and has won two national titles and two KNVB cups. In Europe, Ten Hag also brought Ajax back to the European top.
