Ajax cannot rely on Rensch in Classic against Feyenoord

Devyne Rensch is not fit enough to play in the semi-final of the KNVB Cup against Feyenoord tomorrow night. This is announced by trainer John Heitinga a day before the match. Steven Bergwijn, on the other hand, is fit enough and can start in the base against the rival from Rotterdam.

Twenty-year-old Rensch was also missing against Go Ahead Eagles last Sunday (0-0). In Deventer, therefore, Jorge Sánchez was in the position of right back. Steven Bergwijn injured his knee more than two weeks ago in the 2-3 lost Eredivisie match against Feyenoord. The attacker therefore also had to miss the international matches of Orange. Ajax coach John Heitinga says that Bergwijn has now fully recovered.

The KNVB Cup seems to be the only prize for Ajax to win this season, after the elimination in the Europa League and the big backlog in the competition against Feyenoord. Feyenoord – Ajax starts tomorrow evening at 8 p.m.
