Ajax Amsterdam announced the transfer of Jorge Sánchez on Wednesday evening. The right-back has signed a contract with the Eredivisie champions until 2026. According to “De Telegraaf”, the 24-year-old’s services will cost up to 5.5 million euros. At CF América in his Mexican homeland, the right-footed player previously had a working paper that was valid until 2025.
The 21-time Mexico international is the seventh newcomer to coach Alfred Schreuder’s team this summer and will compete with Devyne Rensch (19) for his position. In Amsterdam he meets his compatriot (24), who followed exactly the same path in 2019 and has played 103 games for Ajax since then.
