Airliners: the ten fastest in history

Traveling from one side of the Atlantic to the other in a few hours: for this purpose the I agree, a supersonic aircraft of Anglo-French manufacture which became sadly famous for the serious accident in Paris in which it was involved. The idea of ​​a passenger aircraft capable of traveling well beyond the speed of sound has always fascinated, so much so that the Concorde was not the only one to succeed, but neither was it the first to enter service, nor the fastest: the Russian Tupolev Tu-144 beat him to the punch by a year. Both, however, proved commercially unsuccessful and were withdrawn from service rather early.
