Aïcha Marghadi also hints at more dirt about Jack van Gelder

After Bridget Maasland, Aïcha Marghadi also hints at more dirt about Jack van Gelder. She talked about ‘more stories’ on Beau van Erven Dorens’ talk show last night. “But that’s not up to me.”

Jack van Gelder has so far survived the media row about misconduct on the editorial floor of NOS Sport. He has been discredited because of two misconduct: firstly, he invited Aïcha Marghadi to bath by telephone, secondly, he kicked out a female colleague – according to him a h*er – from the team for the European Football Championship.

Aicha emotionally

Aïcha’s story played a major role in the much-discussed Volkskrant article about NOS Sport. In fact, she wanted to leave it at that. “Until I saw two renowned gentlemen on TV immersed in a haze of self-pity and victimization. I thought: now it’s over!”, said the former presenter, pointing to Jack and Tom Egbers.

And that’s why she was in Beau last night, where she got emotional a few times. “My voice is shaking a bit, I’m a bit… I don’t like this because… I just said to Elodie (chief of politics at Beau, ed.): ‘I’m not going to cry, am I?’ I find it annoying, because I just want to tell my story without stuttering.”

More about Jack?

Aïcha told, among other things, about the prohibition of the resigned editor-in-chief Maarten Nooter to ask Tom Egbers as her mentor. “He really hit the table with his fist. He literally said, “This is not going to happen. Things have happened that we just want to prevent now.’ Well, he’s the boss, you do what he says, so it won’t be Tom.”

And the incident where Jack asked her to bathe, maybe that was just a bad joke? “Yes, but at that moment I found it intense, because I had already heard stories.”

What kind of stories then? “Those are actually stories that are not for me to tell because I have them second or third hand.”

New riot

So it sounds like sooner or later a new riot about Jack will erupt, because Bridget Maasland also hinted at more misconduct last week.

With the resumption of his performances in HLF8, Jack wants to show that it’s not all that big, but, says Bridget: “Yes, but ‘it’s not that big’… Mark my words: it’s not that big what’s out there. has come out.”

Story back

According to Jack, there would have been no hassle at all around NOS Sport if the editors had intervened in time. Aïcha about that: “Listen friend, if you had behaved, we wouldn’t have had to go through all this. Now he returns it to the editor-in-chief.”

She is annoyed with Jack and Tom. “Those two gentlemen deprive me of my story and the story of hundreds of other people and certainly about 33 anonymous stories in that publication. I now say, ‘I take that story back. It’s not yours, it never was yours.’”
