In the 29th week of Trendyol Super League, Fenerbahçe hosted Pendikspor in Kadıköy.
Fenerbahçe, who finished the first half of the match trailing 1-0, came back in the second half and won 4-1. In the match against guest team Pendikspor, Welinton scored in the 71st minute, 90+1. In the next minute, Lusamba was sent out of the game with a red card.
The dialogue between Fenerbahçe’s Mert Hakan Yandaş and the match referee Kadir Sağlam at the end of the first half created a big controversy.
After the half-time whistle blew, Mert Hakan was seen going to referee Kadir Sağlam and saying, “Coach, be careful. Be careful, I swear you can’t get out of here.”
Former referee Ahmet Çakar also criticized this dialogue and said: “The honorable Turkish referee Kadir Sağlam, who was threatened by Mert Hakan Yandaş at the end of the first half, saying ‘Be smart, you can’t get out of here’, got cowed in the second half, got scared and took the match from Pendikspor and gave it to Fenerbahçe. You should be ashamed…” he commented.
