Ahlers AG: Board member Simon Tabler leaves

Simon Tabler is leaving the Herford-based clothing supplier Ahlers AG at the end of the year.

Ahlers announced on Thursday that he was leaving the board “prematurely at his own request”. Tabler is responsible for the areas of finance, IT, human resources, auditing and compliance as well as “the commercial support of foreign operations”. CEO Stella Ahlers will temporarily take over for him.

New CFO already found

According to Ahlers, a successor for the finance department has already been found. The future CFO is scheduled to take over the role on April 1. However, Ahlers has not yet announced who it is and it should be announced in the next few months.

Until then, Stella Ahlers will be supported by Karsten Kölsch, the former CFO of Ahlers AG. Kölsch left Ahlers at his own request in November 2020 and handed over to Tabler, who joined the company in September 2019 and then held the positions of Managing Director of Ahlers Zentralverwaltung GmbH and Commercial Managing Director of Ahlers PC GmbH. Before that, he worked as director of finance and administration in the management of the Metzingen retail and real estate group Holy AG.

“We very much regret Simon Tabler’s early departure and would like to thank him for his excellent work and the always trusting cooperation,” said Stella Ahlers and Alexander Gedat, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ahlers AG. “We sincerely wish him all the best for his professional and personal future.”
