Ahlers AG has adjusted its sales forecast for the current financial year. The reason for this is the “supply chains that continue to be globally disrupted,” said the Herford-based clothing group on Wednesday.

Supply chain issues have not recovered for the second half of 2022 as originally anticipated by the company. As a result, the delivery of the goods for autumn/winter 2022 was delayed, which had an impact on the planned sales.

Ahlers expects a higher annual loss

For the 2021/22 financial year, Ahlers is now assuming sales in the “low single-digit million range below the original forecast”. Earnings expectations were also recalculated due to “unexpectedly high inflation”. The parent company of brands such as Baldessarini, Pierre Cardin, Otto Kern and Pioneer now expects consolidated earnings in the “mid to high single-digit negative million range”.

In mid-July, when the half-year figures for the full fiscal year were announced, Ahlers still expected sales of between EUR 180 and 195 million and a net loss of between EUR 2 and 5 million.
