The Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart, threatened with relegation, loses its regular player Naouirou Ahamada shortly before the end of the transfer period.
The French midfielder is moving to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League, and the sale of the 20-year-old is expected to bring the Swabians around twelve million euros.
“From a sporting point of view, we would have liked to keep Naoui. In the end, however, we as a club are in a situation where we cannot ignore financial arguments,” said VfB sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
Ahamada switched to VfB from the youth division of Juventus Turin in the summer of 2020 and played 26 Bundesliga games for the Swabians.
