Agustín Drubi is an Argentine investor who lives in Miami or, at least until recently, lived there. His lifestyle in the north of the continent may not be out of place with the context, but in Argentina, his homeland, to which he has decided to return, moving regularly by private plane, piloting helicopters, shooting war weapons and collecting cars like a Rolls Royce, a Ferrari and a Lambo it might draw a bit of attention.
“I went to Miami when I was 14 years old, I studied at the University of Florida, where I started doing marketing for companies and then I graduated as an orthodontist,” says Drubi, who adds: “However, I decided to dedicate myself to business and investments creating ‘Drubi Capital’, a company dedicated to identifying opportunities by acquiring other private companies as an investment”.
Currently, this portfolio of companies includes the largest chain of private clinics in Miami, dental clinics, a marketing agency and an advisory agency for clinics. Agustín and his group are investing in various properties to develop in the future in the real estate business and in keeping with current times, he flirts with the development of technological startups.
Contrary to the exodus of people of all ages who leave the country, Drubi has returned to bet on Argentina. The next step for him in the world of business and investment is to continue expanding his portfolio of companies by acquiring new private companies.
Not everything is work, there is also time for pleasure and that will not remain in Miami. “I am young and like everyone else I like to have a good time, travel, visit exotic places, practice unconventional activities and enjoy free time”, says the businessman.
Activities such as diving, skiing, piloting helicopters, target shooting with machine guns, racing in sports cars and organizing exclusive parties that attendees call “epic” enter their agenda. In these events, nothing is missing: they are always planned in the best locations and with a great aesthetic sense, in the last party the booth was in charge of the renowned Dj Fer Palacio.
Going back to Argentina was always in his plans: “I think this country has a lot of potential, I see clear development opportunities for the field I am dedicated to and why not to undertake new things”, Drubi closed.
