A 32-year-old man from Tilburg was arrested on Monday evening after he assaulted another man. An agent, who was not at work at the time, tried to calm things down. But she also took some serious beatings herself.
Just before seven o’clock, the agent drove to the Prinsenhoeven in her free time. There she saw that two men were fighting. One of them lay on the ground and was kicked and beaten. She called her colleagues and then got out to calm things down.
Agent dragged
That did not have the desired effect. Instead of calming down, one of the men also immediately gave her two blows on the head. When he then wanted to take off on his bicycle, the officer managed to stop him. The man threatened her and dragged the woman along a bit.
At that moment, the called agents arrived, who were able to overpower the man. After a lot of resistance, they were finally able to take him to the station. The other man involved in the brawl later also reported to the police. It’s still unclear why they clashed.
