The Eisbären Berlin collected the fourth defeat in a row in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). The German champion lost 1-2 against the Schwenninger Wild Wings
(0: 0, 1: 0, 0: 2). Korbinian Geibel scored the only goal of the capitals, which made too little out of their goal opportunities and were punished for it in the final minute.

Berliners gamble away a lead in the final third

The 13,415 spectators in the arena at the Ostbahnhof saw a quick, varied game right from the start. Both teams played ahead and had numerous chances to score, but polar bear goals Jonas Stettmer and his counterpart Joacim Eriksson kept strong.
