SV Wehen Wiesbaden has the first win of the season in its pocket. Coach Markus Kauczinski’s team beat newly promoted SpVgg Bayreuth 4-1 (2-0) on Wednesday. Benedict Hollerbach (5th minute) and John Iredale (31st) scored before the break. Daniel Steininger made the connection (56th), Lucas Brumme (61st) and Kianz Froese (85th) put the lid on.
It was a deserved victory for the home side, who could have scored more goals in the first half. Thanks to the first win in the third game of the season, the SVWW is currently in the middle of the table.
