Again summer doctors in De Panne

The municipality offers GPs who work in De Panne for one or more weeks during the summer free accommodation and various other benefits.

Last summer, the summer doctors treated just under 1,000 patients from July to September, just over half of whom were tourists. Compared to 2021, the summer doctors had about a hundred fewer consultations and home visits. The municipality annually invests 25,000 euros in the project and hopes that the initiative will encourage doctors to settle in De Panne, because there are too few doctors.
