Protests were organized in about a hundred places in the country, the largest in Tel Aviv. Saturday’s demonstrations take place ahead of Israel’s 75th anniversary week. The festivities are expected to be overshadowed by more protests.
The protests continue despite Netanyahu announcing on March 27 that he will not implement the legal reforms he wants for the time being. According to the protesters, the prime minister wants to limit the influence of the country’s Supreme Court and expand the power of the government.
