After the shocking images: daycare supervisors charged after they frighten toddlers with Halloween mask | Abroad

At the beginning of October, startling images of an American child nurse went around the internet. The woman, known as CeeCee, wears a Halloween mask and yells at “naughty” kids who scream in fear. The woman was immediately fired from the Mississippi daycare center and, along with three other employees, is now being charged by the children’s parents for child abuse.

Kids who don’t want to clean up are labeled “naughty” and are hit by CeeCee who hides her face behind the terrifying Halloween mask. The nanny terrifies the screaming toddlers by chasing them and coming within inches of them wearing the mask. She would have discussed her plan with other caretakers, but not with the owner of the nursery.

CeeCee has apologized extensively in a 19-minute video on Facebook, but she has lost her job as a nanny at Lil’ Blessing daycare center in Hamilton, Mississippi. “I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, it wasn’t meant badly,” CeeCee said in the video. “I did not go in with the intention of traumatizing the children. They responded as I expected. They knew it was me and reacted that way because they’re kids, that’s all.” She considers herself “not a child abuser.”

Charged with child abuse

CeeCee worked at the Lil’ Blessing daycare center in Hamilton for four years, from the age of 16. She claims that the children were “her life” and that she will never set foot in a daycare again. The woman, along with three other employees, is now being charged by the parents of the children for child abuse.

A fifth woman is being prosecuted for failing to report the incident.
