If this is done correctly, you avoid mistakes. It should also rule out malicious intent’. It concerns measures regarding the purchase, storage, identification and administration of medication. Moonens admits that all this takes a lot of time and that it is not easy for the WZC to do it all.
In principle, residential care centers are inspected every four years. If they are too lax with medication, they will be inspected more often. The department can also place WZC under increased supervision.
