After the end of Schneiders: Habsburg clothing manufacturer is insolvent

The Habsburg clothing manufacturer GmbH is insolvent.

After the Salzburg clothing supplier Schneiders was no longer able to proceed after insolvency proceedings in May and the shops were closing, the subsidiary Habsburg clothing manufacturer is now also filing for bankruptcy, the creditor protection association KSV1870 announced on Wednesday.

The closure of the parent company also led to a sales stop at the Habsburg Trikotmanufaktur Gesellschaft and thus to an impending insolvency.

The proceedings at the competent regional court in Salzburg were opened on June 7th. Lawyer Andrea Fruhstorfer was appointed by the court as liquidator – insolvency administration in Austrian bankruptcy proceedings. The first meeting of creditors is scheduled for June 28th.

The company is responsible for selling the Habsburg brand “as part of the Schneiders Group” and operates a sales location with direct sales in Bernau am Chiemsee, according to the announcement.
