After the attack on the taxi driver, only probation for brutal neo-Nazis

He is considered the main suspect in the cowardly series of fires in Neukölln. Monday Tilo P. was initially in court for attacking a taxi driver.

Neo-Nazi and ex-AfD member Tilo P. (39) is the main suspect in the Neukölln arson attack series. Perpetrated between 2016 and 2019, there is still no trial date. Only the indictment is ready.

The matter for which Tilo P. Montag had to answer before the district court was only three and a half months ago: with his co-defendant Dennis S. (34), he attacked a taxi driver on November 3, 2021 on Göttinger Straße (Steglitz). .

Still visibly under the impact of this outbreak of violence, the victim at the time, Jordanian Sami K. (56, name changed), described: “The Golf stopped in front of me. I couldn’t pass.” He honked, asked: “Clear the way.”

First, co-driver Dennis S. started: “Get lost, you A…” Then Tilo P. also screwed himself behind the steering wheel, pushed the taxi driver, hit him with a kind of baton on the thigh. And then chased away at up to 100 km/h.

So that pursuer Sami K., who had called the police in the meantime, lost sight of the Golf at times. He only caught up with him again on Berlinickestrasse (Steglitz). This time, according to the indictment, Tilo P. mobbed: “Shit Kanake, what’s your problem.” And hit the victim in the face.

The broken glasses were quickly repaired. The injuries, pain and vision problems lasted longer.
Twice fits of crying interrupted his testimony.

How relieved did he appear in view of the confessions of the accused (“The allegations are correct”) and their apologies, albeit meager (“I’m really sorry”).

The court sentenced Tilo P. to 18 months probation for insult, dangerous bodily harm, prohibited motor vehicle racing, property damage and coercion. In addition, there is a 21-month driver’s license suspension and 1,000 euros to the taxi driver. Dennis S. got eight months probation.

Should Tilo P. also be sentenced for the Neukölln series, a much harsher sentence should follow – with around 70 acts. Including arson attacks on cars by politicians and dissidents.
