The Danish band Volbeat is finally arriving in Finland after more than three years of cancellations. According to Live Nation, the metal band will perform at the Nokia Arena in Tampere in October.
Volbeat today released the gig days of their world tour, which is named after the album Servant Of The Road. The tour starts in mid-October in Hamburg and continues for 32 gigs. According to the organizer, intense rock gigs are in the offing.
– We are really excited to get on our own tour of Europe and the UK after such a long time. We can’t wait for encounters with the audience, the band commented on their upcoming tour.
Servant of The Road is the band’s eighth album. The tour features songs from a new album released late last year, old classics and fans ’favorite songs. In Finland, the band is warmed up by Skindred (UK) and Bad Wolves (USA).
– We were lucky to have Skindred, Napalm Death and Bad Wolves with us. Awesome to get on the road with three great bands, Volbeat glowed with the greats of his gig.
The band, last formed in Copenhagen in 2001, performed at 2018 Provinssirock. The next time they were scheduled to perform at the Hartwall Arena in November 2019.
That gig was canceled due to a postal support strike, and a ticket mess arose at Ticketmaster. Some of the buyers of canceled gig tickets did not get their money back for a long time.
Due to the cancellation, the band was scheduled to perform in Finland in 2020, but the gigs were canceled due to the corona pandemic. Now, after three years of moving, the band is finally performing in Finland.
