After returning on loan from Hoffenheim: Delaney moves on to RSC Anderlecht

Comes from FC Sevilla

Former Bundesliga professional Thomas Delaney is back on loan from Sevilla FC. After the 31-year-old Dane spent the last six months at TSG Hoffenheim, he is now going to RSC Anderlecht for a season. A purchase option is reportedly part of the deal. In Anderlecht, Delaney meets Ludwig Augustinsson (29), with whom he shares the club for the fourth time. Both had already played together in Copenhagen, Bremen and Seville.

Delaney had left Borussia Dortmund for Seville in 2021 for 6 million euros and played 47 games there (two goals, one assist) before temporarily going to Kraichgau. However, the national player was only used eight times at TSG and not at all since the beginning of April. After returning to his home club, where his contract runs until 2025, coach José Luis Mendilibar did not count on him in the first three competitive games of the season.
