After rain and thunder, heat wave gives way to ‘friendly’ late summer weather

This Sunday and Monday it will remain warm in Brabant with temperatures above 30 degrees. The weather will change from Monday evening, Raymond Klaassen from Weerplaza said on Sunday morning in the radio program ‘Weekend’ on Omroep Brabant. “The end of the heat wave is in sight and many people will be happy about that, I think.”

Sunday started with some light mist in various places, but it will be ‘normal’ again 30 to 32 degrees in Brabant. We have to cool off in the swimming pool or with the air conditioning, because there is hardly any wind.

“It’s going to be a very muggy night.”

It will also be particularly warm on the night from Sunday to Monday, according to Klaassen. “It will be very stuffy with temperatures between 17 and 20 degrees. In the cities it can even stay a little warmer.”

They can discuss this in Eindhoven, for example. The City of Light starts its seventh tropical day in a row this Sunday and there is a good chance that it will also be just as hot on Monday. “That is very exceptional.”

“The first rain and thunderstorms will pass in the evening.”

However, the weather will change on Monday. In the west of Brabant it is already slightly cooler with 26 to 28 degrees because the wind shifts and provides a light breeze. The east of the province will also have tropical temperatures on Monday. “But in the evening the first rain and thunderstorms will pass.”

According to Klaassen, Tuesday is a ‘transition day’. It is changeable with occasional showers and it cools down to about 24 degrees. From Wednesday, a new high-pressure area will alternate sunny periods with cloud fields. “With around 21 to 22 degrees, it will be very friendly late summer weather. A lot more pleasant than now,” weatherman Klaassen concludes.
