Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor (64) visited Sonnenallee in Neukölln on Monday.

Anti-Semitic posters appeared on the street last week. Among other things, rocket attacks on Israel were approved.

“The majority of the population here in Neukölln are good, decent people,” said Prosor during a walk with district mayor Martin Hikel (37, SPD).

The task is to act together against organizations that spread terror, violence, hatred and anti-Semitism. “Words are not enough. You have to act now,” said Prosor.

According to the district mayor, there needs to be a lively exchange between people who live in Germany and Israel. “This is a permanent task that will not be easy and quick to solve.” For example, he spoke to the ambassador about the possibilities of a student exchange.

In a tweet last week, Prosor described the posters as a “disgrace for Berlin”.
