After more than 13 years in prison, a German turns out to be innocent of ‘bathtub murder’ and is entitled to compensation of 368,000 euros

The German man who was imprisoned for more than 13 years for the so-called ‘bathtub murder’ of 87-year-old Lieselotte Kortüm in Bavaria, has been acquitted because he turned out to be innocent. Manfred Genditzki was sentenced to life imprisonment for allegedly drowning the woman who lived in the building where he worked. She probably died in an accident.
