Weyts counters criticism of central keys: “It is our damn duty to implement this”
Flemish Education Minister Ben Weyts does not seem to intend to withdraw or substantially adjust his plans for the introduction of central tests after serious criticism from the Flemish Education Council (Vlor). “There are not 1,000 recipes to improve the quality of education. It is our damn duty to also introduce the recipes that have proven their worth abroad in Flanders,” said the N-VA minister in the Flemish Parliament on Wednesday in answer to questions from Elisabeth Meuleman (Groen), Loes. Vandromme (CD&V), Kim De Witte (PVDA), Koen Daniëls (N-VA) and Jan Laeremans (Vlaams Belang).
