Long term contract
Marcelo Saracchi has found a new club after terminating his contract with RB Leipzig. The 23-year-old joins UD Levante. The Uruguayan left-back signed a contract with the bottom of the table in LaLiga, who is nine points behind the saving bank, until 2024 with an option for three more seasons.
In the summer of 2018, Saracchi moved to Leipzig from the Argentinian first division club River Plate for 12 million euros. After a strong start, the defender kept falling in his performances and was finally no longer considered. From January 2020 to June 2021, Saracchi was loaned to Galatasaray, where he became a regular again. In the Leipzig preparation for the 2021/22 season, he then suffered a cruciate ligament tear. Despite the contract until 2023, the cooperation ended at the end of the year.
