The supervisory board is not authorized to issue instructions to the board of directors and may not be assigned any tasks of the board of directors (and therefore may not assume them of its own accord).

DFL (GmbH) is a 100% subsidiary of DFL (eV), which markets the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. Members are the clubs of these two leagues. In principle, this is a community of interests. Both the clubs as individual entities and the DFL as a whole are members of the DFB. The Bundesliga is organized jointly by both, the exact modalities are regulated in a basic contract.
