Kanye West reportedly showed up “unannounced and uninvited” at a Skechers office in Los Angeles. There he made unauthorized film recordings. After a brief conversation, he and his group were escorted out of the building by two Skechers executives, the US shoe retailer said on Thursday.
It is not known why West was with Skechers and whether he is looking for a new cooperation partner after leaving Adidas. The sports goods manufacturer from Herzogenaurach announced the end of the partnership on Tuesday after West made headlines with anti-Semitic statements.
Skechers is also distancing itself from the artist and is not planning any collaboration with West. “We condemn his recent divisive statements and have no tolerance for anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech,” Skechers said.
