This is the overview of the most important shifts in the Top 40 from April 8. In the list we see 3 arrivals, 3 repeaters, 13 risers and 21 dropers.
28 (–) LAYLA- Claude
Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot) seems to have started the way back. Claude’s debut single has been in the top 10 for 19 weeks now, but this week it will drop to the bottom spot – number 10. At the end of March, a successor was released with Layla and last week it was the Alarm disc on Qmusic. Claude was immediately very clear about who Layla is; that is not there. But ‘it sounded good’ and so a story was built around it. With success, because it is this week, at number 28, the highest new.
9 (14) MIRACLE- Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding
Calvin Harris has already managed to write ten number 1 hits in the United Kingdom. Things are certainly not going that fast here because with Summer, Blame, How Deep Is Your Love and One Kiss the counter here is only four.
His latest track with Ellie Goulding is going very well because Miracle climbs into the top 10 with five places this week – at number 9. With this, Calvin takes his 14th top 10 hit and equals Tiësto. David Guetta remains the DJ with the most top 10 hits as he topped the list 24 times.
2 ( 3) WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME- Metejoor & Hannah Mae
It looks like Creepin’ by Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage won’t make it to the top spot. The track was number 2 for the past four weeks, but this week it was overtaken by Wat Wil Je Van Mij. Metejoor and Hannah Mae’s hit is now ‘best of the rest’. It also immediately creates a special situation now that Back To You by Lost Frequencies, Elley Duhé and X Ambassadors climbs to number 4. As a result, there are now two Belgian hits in the top 5, which is only the third time in the history of the Dutch Top 40.
1 ( 1) FLOWERS – Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is this week in a row with seven other American singers who managed to lead the Top 40 the longest. In that list, behind those of Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello and Bebe Rexha, is now the name of. Miley Cyrus. Flowers does not give way and is, for the eleventh week, also now the biggest hit in our country.
Every working day at six o’clock in the evening on Qmusic you can hear how the new list is taking shape in the Top 40 Update. A new Top 40 will be available this Friday from 2 p.m.
