Apple has resolved the overheating problems experienced by some iPhone 15 users by releasing an update, but that doesn’t solve all the problems. Some users, especially with the latest models, are experiencing WiFi problems in iOS 17. In addition, there are several complaints about a crackling sound coming from the speakers when the volume is turned up a bit.
The iPhone 15 has been on the shelves for less than a month, but since then several users have experienced various problems with Apple’s latest devices. After complaints of overheating, there now also appear to be problems with the WiFi connection and the speakers.
According to ‘9to5Mac’, several readers have reported Wi-Fi issues since updating their iPhone 15 to iOS 17. For some, “apps fail to load content or the connection is very slow” when the device is connected to Wi-Fi . Remarkably, this problem does not occur with other Apple devices that also use the iOS 17 software.
Filipe Espósito, author of the 9to5Mac article, has also experienced this problem: “Personally, I’ve noticed the same issues with my iPhone. Despite my iPhone being connected to Wi-Fi, it stops loading content in programs like Threads, TikTok, or even Safari. Sometimes the problem goes away after a few minutes. In some cases, I have to manually disconnect and reconnect my iPhone’s Wi-Fi to get it working again.”
An internet search shows several iPhone 15 users experiencing similar issues. On X, the former Twitter, many users do not hesitate to express their frustrations.
It is not yet clear whether this is a widespread problem or whether only a small number of users are affected. ‘9to5Mac’ has asked Apple for a response, but there is no response yet.
Cracking noise from speakers
On social media, several users of the iPhone 15 models report that the sound sounds distorted and crackling when the volume is turned up a bit.
“My iPhone 15 Pro Max arrived on launch day and from the moment I took it out of the box, the speaker rattled at full volume and sounded like there was liquid in the speaker. The same happened with music above 80 percent,” said one user.
TikTokker Milesabovetech was one of the people who complained about crackling sound issues on his iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple replaced his iPhone twice free of charge because it acknowledged there was a problem, but he also experienced the same problem with his third device.
