10th title in a row
Series champions Red Bull Salzburg have secured the next championship title in Austria with a 2-1 win against pursuers SK Sturm Graz three games before the end of the season. Salzburg are now six points ahead of Styria, but in contrast to them, RB also has the rounding asterisk from the regular season and can therefore no longer be ousted even with two defeats.
The Mozart city-dwellers are champions for the tenth time in a row, it is the 17th title in the club’s history and the 14th in the era since the drinks manufacturer “Red Bull” joined the club in 2005.
