For the second time this season, Bilal Ould-Chikh has been suspended by coach Wim Jonk. The attacker of FC Volendam was not allowed to participate in the selection for a week. As a result, he was not part of the competition group against Ajax (1-1) or against FC Groningen (3-2). “He has to improve in keeping to agreements.”

“We make agreements with each other,” says trainer Wim Jonk after the home victory over FC Groningen about the disciplinary suspension of Bilal Ould-Chikh. “If players don’t keep to those agreements, then I have to intervene as a trainer.”

Ould-Chikh played fourteen games this season in which he scored once. That happened at the beginning of this month with the victory in Friesland against Cambuur. The attacker from Blaricum also took a red card. In October against Fortuna Sittard. “It can become too much and he knows that,” said Jonk about the situation of his pupil. “Hopefully he has learned from this and we can move on.”

Jonk did not want to tell what exactly Bilal Ould-Chikh did. Tomorrow the suspension of the 25-year-old technician will be over and he will join the group training again. FC Volendam will play the next match on Saturday, in-house against AZ.
