The motorway access to the A114 in Pankow-Heinersdorf has been closed due to a traffic accident.
According to a police spokeswoman, the closure between Rothenbachstrasse and Am Moist Angle is expected to last all of Saturday. Vehicles driving into town are diverted from Pasewalker Strasse, heading out of town via the Am Moist Angle exit.
Reason for the blockage: A truck left the lane on Friday evening around 10:15 p.m. for reasons that are still unknown in the construction area of federal highway 109 and crashed over the central barrier into the oncoming lane. The truck hit an oncoming car, the police spokeswoman said. The driver suffered minor injuries.
The truck driver fled the scene of the accident, possibly injured.
