After a year and a half renovation: Het Pand shopping center open again

The merchants put the finishing touches to the furnishing of their new store today. Waregem wants to regain the appearance of a regional shopping city. After 45 years, the shop windows, awnings, terraces, corridors and the playground have been renewed.

There are no statistics on visitor numbers, but Waregem will now monitor them. With the renovation and opening of Het Pand, Waregem is presenting itself as a regional shopping city, such as Kortrijk or Roeselare.

The renovation has been budgeted at 17.5 million euros, but the final bill will rise even higher due to the increased material prices.
