After a strong third quarter: Brunello Cucinelli raises sales forecast

The Italian fashion retailer Brunello Cucinelli SpA also increased its sales significantly in the third quarter of 2022 thanks to “extremely positive” sales figures for the current autumn/winter collections and subsequently significantly increased its growth forecast for the entire financial year on Wednesday. The company now expects annual sales to increase by almost 25 percent. So far, it had aimed for an improvement of about 15 percent. For 2023, management continues to expect an increase of ten percent.

In the first nine months of the current year, the knitwear specialist was able to generate sales of EUR 642.0 million. That meant an increase of 27.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Adjusted for exchange rate changes, revenues increased by 23.2 percent.

Brunello Cucinelli recorded the highest increases in America. There, sales after three quarters were 233.9 million euros and thus 45.0 percent above the corresponding level of the previous year. In Asia, revenues grew by 22.6 percent to EUR 146.0 million, in Italy by 10.2 percent to EUR 78.0 million and in the rest of Europe by 21.6 percent to EUR 184.2 million.
