Diddy (real name: Sean Combs) releases his new one with Bryson Tiller R&BSingle “Gotta Move On”. It’s Sean Combs’ first release in seven years. On the track, Diddy and Bryson Tiller sing about a painful breakup and the new beginnings that came with it.
Diddy on Gotta Move On and his new album
Diddy explains, “I did a song with Bryson Tiller. He got him through his breakup, he got me through my last breakup. Sometimes you have to keep going. Keep going.”
‘Gotta Move On’ is the lead single from Diddy’s forthcoming album, due out later this year on his new R&B label Love Records in association with Motown. It is tentatively titled OFF THE GRID VOL. 1. In addition, has Diddy already hinted at a collaboration with The Weeknd.
“For the label, my focus is on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I look forward to contributing to their legacy,” he said of his new album.
Diddy also premiered his single on May 16, 2022 at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. You can check out both the studio version and the live performance at the bottom of the article.
Sean Combs, the hip-hop icon
Diddy began his career in 1993 with his own label, Bad Boy Records, which has signed the likes of Craig Mack, Notorious BIG, Faith Evans and Lil Kim. It wasn’t until four years later that the producer got behind the mic himself and even won a Grammy with his first album NO WAY OUT. But even that wasn’t enough for the rapper, producer and label boss, so he tried his hand at acting and ran a successful fashion label.
Sean Combs last released the mixtape MONEY MAKING MITCH seven years ago. His most successful album, NO WAY OUT, went seven times platinum in the US and sold over 8.8 million copies.
