After a heat wave, severe storms are now approaching in the Alps: “up to 300 liters of water per square meter and even snow higher up”

The past few days it has been very hot in the Alps due to a heat wave. On August 21, the highest frost line was even observed since the measurements began. But in the next few days it will turn completely around again. All the ingredients will then be present for severe thunderstorms and fierce gusts of wind. Some weather models even indicate more than 300 liters of water per square meter falling through Monday. And from Sunday afternoon it will also be considerably colder, with the first snow of the summer higher up.
