The Faroe Islands group places a limit on the number of dolphins that can be killed during the traditional ‘Grindadráp’, or pilot whale hunt. Last year there was a worldwide outcry over the deaths of more than 1,400 of the animals driven and killed by the islanders while hunting into shallow water.
