The court of the West German Football and Athletics Association took almost four hours to negotiate. Because for both clubs there is a lot at stake, promotion to the 3rd division. The result at the end of the evening was clear: the three points remain with Prussia Muenster.
The association court justified the decision by saying that the Preußen Münster club had been weakened by the cannon throw because two substitutes were injured.
