Successor rumors about Aguirre
Coach Luis García has resigned from RCD Mallorca. This was announced by the LaLiga club on Tuesday evening. The 49-year-old had been in charge of the Mallorcans since 2020 and managed to get promoted to the top Spanish league with them last summer. Overall, the native of Madrilene scored an average of 1.58 points in 78 games on the sidelines. Most recently, however, it suffered six defeats in a row, which saw the club slip down to 18th place in relegation.
According to the “mark“ Javier Aguirre could follow García. The 63-year-old Mexican, who has been without a club since leaving CF Monterrey at the end of February, is already familiar with the Spanish league from positions at Espanyol Barcelona (2012 to 2014) and Atlético Madrid (2006 to 2009), among others. He has also worked twice for the national team of his home country.
